Microwaving combines the two biggest drivers of migration — high temperature and direct contact — and applies them to whatever the container is holding, which is often fatty. Why does this happen?

Heat makes polymer chains mobile, so both chemical migration and particle detachment rise sharply. Fat and oil in the food act as an extraction medium for lipophilic additives. Hot spots exceed the average temperature, so parts of the container run hotter than the rated limit. "Microwave-safe" is a structural rating, not a migration limit.
