A guest session starts on launch. Point the camera at anything and get a scored result with no account wall.
A calmer, faster design
The whole app was rebuilt around one screen you check daily: your exposure index and what to do about it.
Swaps matched to your scans
Alternatives are picked from what you actually scanned, not a generic list. Your swaps get smarter as you go.
Why this event exists
Version 1.1 is the biggest release since the app launched, and most of it came directly from how the first thousand users actually behaved. The single loudest signal: people wanted to scan before they committed to anything, including an account.
So 1.1 removes the wall entirely. A guest session starts on launch, the scanner is two taps away, and everything you scan carries over if you sign up later. Around that change, the whole app got calmer: one Today screen with your exposure index, rooms mapped by signal, and a Plastic Passport that turns discoveries into something you keep.
The event runs for two weeks on the App Store so lapsed users and first-timers both get the same message: this is the version worth judging the app on.
